The European Commission has created the ODR platform for the alternative resolution of disputes between consumers and traders concerning online sales or service contracts. "Online sales or service contract": a sales or service contract where the trader, or his intermediary, offers goods or services on a website or through other electronic means, which the consumer orders on that website or through other electronic means (Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2013).
